Marine Corps spouses socialize during a luncheon hosted by D’Arcy Neller, spouse of Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Robert B. Neller, Oct. 13 at the Ocean Breeze Enlisted Club on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. “Leaving my immediate family back home was difficult, and moving overseas was even more difficult,” said a spouse attendee. “Sometimes my husband gets deployed, and all I am left with is myself and other spouses in the military community. I make the most of it, and going to events like this gives me a better sense of community.” The luncheon encouraged spouses of Marines ranked E-5 and below to network and socialize with each other, and discuss the morale and welfare of families on island.
