Preparing for a flight on a CH-46E Sea Knight on the flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5), Gunnery Sgt. Wade M. Davis, crew chief, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 165 (Reinforced), makes sure all his gear is in order in case he is called to fly today. Davis recently broke 1,000 hours flying as a crew chief with night vision goggles on while underway on a routine Western Pacific deployment with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
