"By wearing the patch, you are continuing to live on the historical traditions. You continue to live its rich heritage of strength and the character of its nation." The 130th MEB patch, or the 30th Engineering Brigade patch, has been worn by Soldiers since 1974. The patch is oval shaped with a tower, and the construction truss. These symbolize the basic mission of the previous brigades. The crossbeams of the truss further simulate the roman numeral 30, indicating the numerical designation of the unit. This patch has been present in multiple engagements to include: World War I and World War II, and armed forces expeditions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
