    Seaman Mathom Hewes, a Navy corpsman with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), is presented with his Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist pin by Petty Officer 2nd Class Darren Hoglund during a ceremony, June 16. The qualification process for the FMF pin consists of two sections in which the sailor must be proficient a core section focusing on basic Marine Corps knowledge and a unit specific section. Hewes, a native of Simi Valley, Calif., is a 2008 graduate of Royal High School and has served in the Navy for a year and a half.
