U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Tony Carrelli (front row, fourth from left), adjutant general, Pennsylvania National Guard, and Lt. Gen. Jonas Vytautas Zukas (front row, fifth from left), chief of defense of Lithuania, along with Lithuanian Ambassador Rolandas Krisciunas (front row, sixth from left) and other Lithuanian officials and members of the PANG, met Oct. 15, 2016 at the joint force headquarters, Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, Pa., in an effort to continue fostering a state-country partnership that began in 1993. The day’s events commenced with a meeting between Carrelli and Vytautas Zukas and their respective staffs. While on post, the distinguished guests received tours of the PANG joint emergency operations center and various training facilities. They also got an in-depth look at the PANG’s unmanned aerial vehicle fleet and Advanced Joint Terminal Attack Controller Training System, which provides realistic battlespace scenarios that prepare Airmen for field missions. The State Partnership Program (SPP) is a U.S. Department of Defense program managed by the National Guard that links individual U.S. states with partner countries around the world.
