Britton of 39th Brigade Engineer Battalion (BEB), 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Qayyarah West, Iraq, October 2016. 39th BEB directly supports the efforts of Task Force Raptor, which provides fire support to Iraqi Security Forces in their fight against Da’esh (an Arabic acronym for ISIL). The mission of Operation Inherent Resolve is to defeat Da’esh in Iraq and Syria by supporting the Government of Iraq with trainers, advisors and fire support, to include aerial strikes and artillery fire.
