161021-N-VN372-014 BROOKSHIRE, Texas - (Oct. 21, 2016) Naval Recruiting Station Katy Recruiter Petty Officer 1st Class Justin Duff uses a cutting horse to “cut" cattle at Mark Mills Cutting Horses property Friday, Oct. 21. Cutting is a competitive event where a rider pulls a calf from a herd and keeps it from rejoining for as long as possible. Mark Mills invited 18 Sailors and their families to a free workshop that covered horsemanship, cutting and sorting cattle, how to work a herd and preventative animal care. The workshop strengthened trust and teamwork, helping the Sailors become a more united workforce. (U.S Navy photo by Petty Officer 1st Class Chris Fahey/RELEASED)
