Staff Sgt. James Thomson, explosive ordnance disposal technician from the 717th Ordnance Company, a subordinate unit from the 184th Ordnance Battalion (EOD) out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, uses carved-wooden training aids simulating an explosive charge and a mortar to instruct Liberian EOD technicians on the correct placement of explosives in accordance with good demolition procedures during a training exercise in Liberia sponsored by the Office of Security Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia.
