Cpl. Vincent Barsuli, a plane captain with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, renders a salute to the pilots flying this F/A-18 D Hornet after clearning them to taxi off of the squadron's parking ramp and onto the runway at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, June 24. Barsuli is responsible for the aircraft's integrity prior to launch, and, as the plane captain, can ground an aircraft if he feels it is unsafe or notices any serious problems.
