161029-N-TH560-094 OKINAWA, Japan (Oct. 29, 2016) A Landing amphibious resupply cargo five-ton (LARC-V) vehicle enters the well deck of amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia Pacific region. The USS Green Bay (LPD 20) is participating with forward deployed Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force for Exercise Blue Chromite, an annual U.S.-only exercise which strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps expeditionary, amphibious rapid-response capabilities based in Okinawa and greater Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
