Air delivery specialists with 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) mark a landing zone near Forward Operating Base Dwyer July 1. The Marines spent the morning testing new Low Cost Low Altitude parachute systems by hurling bundles of packaged bottled water from CH-53 Super Stallion helicopters. Unlike other parachutes, these are considered one-time use and will be used to supply ground troops with critical items such as food and water.
