RUKLA, Lithuania –A candidate attending the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leader’s Course looks through a scope in a dark room Nov. 3. As part of the course, students practiced setting up surveillance stations in an urban area. They used screens to make sure that light did not come out or go in to make sure they were not spotted from the outside. The course is being hosted by 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade in Lithuania and features Paratroopers from their unit, as well as soldiers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.
