U.S. Marine 1st Lt. Monday, a U.S. Marine Corps platoon commander for 4th Platoon, Company C, 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, gives his Marines a brief to kick off their operations in Peru on the amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans on July 3, 2010. The unit is embarked on the transport dock ship USS New Orleans in support of operation Partnership of the Americas/Southern Exchange, a combined amphibious exercise designed to enhance cooperative partnerships with maritime forces from Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay and Colombia.
