Master Sgt. Dallas Root, a member of the 126th Intelligence Squadron, receives the Ohio Cross award presented by the Ohio Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Mark Bartman at Springfield Air National Guard Base in Springfield, Ohio, Oct. 15, 2016. Root received the award for administering aid to a vehicle accident victim, and coordinating with emergency dispatchers.
