Brig. Gen. Robin Akin, 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) commander and Nashville, Tenn., native, pins a meritorious service medal on 7th Sustainment Brigade command sergeant major and Boutte, La., native, Command Sgt. Maj. Cedric Thomas, during the 3rd ESC commander’s conference in Fort Knox’s Harris Hall June 29. Thomas and his commander, Col. Charles Maskell, a native of New London, Conn., received MSMs for their recent deployment to Haiti, where they worked hand-in-hand with 3rd ESC headquarters, which was deployed to Haiti at the same time as the 7th.
