Hank Kim, the chief of staff for Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea, renders a salute during a ceremony honoring Korean War veterans in Busan. Representatives from 21 nations gathered in Busan to commemorate United Nations Sending States service members who died in service during the Korean War. The ceremony, held at the world's only United Nations Memorial Cemetery, in Busan, was created in 2007 by Vincent Courtenay, a Korean War veteran, who suggested, "Turn Towards Busan" as an international campaign consisting of simultaneous silence and memorial ceremonies worldwide, synchronized at 11 a.m., Nov. 11.
