U.S. Army Soldiers, 28th Combat Support Hospital, prepare to remove a simulated trauma patient from a backboard during the Trauma Nursing Core Course hosted by the 28th CSH near Baghdad, Iraq, Nov. 2, 2016. This is the first time TNCC, a highly sough-after trauma training course for nurses, has been conducted by a unit deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Effective and comprehensive training is key for deployed medical personnel to preserve the health of Coalition forces working to weaken and defeat Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve is a multinational effort to weaken and destroy Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant operations in the Middle East region and around the world.
