NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Oct. 13, 2016) -- Capt. Richard McCormack, commanding officer of Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), Seaman Kaitlyn Zavodny, Capt. Gregory Saracco, and Master Chief Petty Officer Laura Nunley, Ford's Command Master Chief, cut the ceremonial cake commemorating the U.S. Navy's birthday.
