Airman Juan Zavala-Alcaraz, aviation boatswain's mate (handling), performs maintenance on a jet blast deflector aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman. The jet blast deflector protects sailors on the flight deck from the powerful aircraft engine jet blast and heat. Harry S. Truman is deployed as part of the Harry S.
