An F/A-18C Hornet from the Blue Diamonds of Strike Fighter Squadron 146 launches off catapult two of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. The catapults send aircraft off the deck at over 160 miles per hour in less than two seconds. Ronald Reagan is currently underway participating in Rim of the Pacific 2010, the world's largest multi-national maritime exercise. RIMPAC is a biennial event allowing participating nations to work together and improve interoperability.
