    ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 25, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class David Phillips, uses a conformal coating removal workstation to repair avionics in the micro-mini repair shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Phillips serves aboard Ike as an aviation electronic's technician and helps inspect, repair and maintain aircraft avionics. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
