RED SEA (Nov. 30, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Mary Saing, from San Jose, Calif., attaches a trunnion to a fan to be lifted by crane in the jet shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Saing serves aboard Ike as an aviation machinist's mate and helps inspect, repair and maintain jet engines. Ike and its carrier strike group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
