MANAMA, Bahrain -- Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class (AW/NAC) Jason Dodd, a loadmaster for Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 55, helps secure a pallet of cargo aboard a C-130 at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain's aviation unit Sept. 10. VR-55 "Minutemen" based in Point Mugu, Calif., are currently deployed to NSA Bahrain in support of Maritime Security Operations. MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. These operations deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material.
