The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard, the Republic of Korea Navy King Sejong the Great-class guided-missile destroyer ROKS Sejong the Great, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force Murasame-class destroyer JS Akebono and other Ships assigned to the Rim of the Pacific 2010 combined task force transit the Pacific Ocean in a 32-vessel formation as part of a photo exercise north of Hawaii. RIMPAC, the world’s largest multinational maritime exercise, is a biennial event which allows participating nations to work together to build trust and enhance partnerships needed to improve maritime security.
