Kirk volunteered to guide the Marines as they traveled via snow machine in sub-zero temperatures to multiple villages across the Northwest Arctic Borough to deliver holiday presents to Alaskan children as part of Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is supported by the United States Marine Corps Reserve with a goal of delivering, through a new toy during the holiday season, a message of hope to youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens.
