A water pump used by 354th Civil Engineer Squadron Airmen was placed through ice on the Tanana River Dec. 5, 2016, approximately 20 miles southwest of Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The pump is put into a hole in the ice to force water to the surface and create a smooth path for Airmen traveling to work at the Blair Lakes Range Maintenance Complex.
