ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 9, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Raymond Minami documents as Sailors from the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) render assistance aboard the civilian fishing boat “Shooting Star” after the ship received a distress call from two stranded fishermen. Bataan is underway with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) participating in ARG/Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise (ARG/MEUEX).
