    An aircrew aboard a U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter, from Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash., lowers a buoy into the water near the Coast Guard Cutter Fir at Tongue Point in Astoria, Ore., after assisting the Coast Guard recover the buoy from a beach adjacent to theTillamook Bay in Garibaldi, Ore., Dec. 12, 2016.

    The buoy weighs about 14,000 pounds and was too heavy for a Coast Guard helicopter to transport.
