Logo created for the Eighth Air Force’s 75th anniversary. It consists of many simple elements. First is the diamond, representing the 75th anniversary and is formed to create the shape of a spear, representing the Mighty Eighth’s ability to strike. A number eight is created from the diamond’s empty space. The shape of the eight is the exact form found on the Eighth Air Force patch. The final element are the wings and star, also taken from the patch. (U.S. Air Force graphic/Senior Airman Damon Kasberg)
