Members of the Wardroom from Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti pose with orphanage workers from the L'Association De Developpement Et Protection De l'Enfant A Besion (ADPEB),in downtown Djibouti, Dec. 9, 2016. The Wardroom, military remembers deployed in support of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, are the first volunteers where along with orphans were able to participate in and share the tradition of Christmas. The orphans who are of Djiboutian, Ethiopian and Somali descent receive education and meals from the orphanage, where the Wardroom periodically provides donations to help with school supplies and clothing. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.
