Rep. Gene Taylor, who represents the 4th District of Mississippi in the U.S. Congress, shakes the hand of Sgt. Joshua F. Sligh, a buffalo operator with the 287th Engineer Company who hails from Sunflower, Miss. Taylor one of five members of the House Armed Services Committee who visited troops at Forward Operating Base Lightning Aug. 2. Speaking of the troops from his home state, Taylor said, “They are extremely brave individuals, [and we]want to make sure their country puts all the right tools in their hands.”
