Lance Cpl. Brandon J. Ward fires an M240B medium machine gun from the turret of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle at an unknown distance target during a deployment for training exercise at Fort Pickett, Va., Dec. 3, 2016. The intent of the live-fire drill was to get vehicle operators more familiar with working in vehicle teams and to make the Marines more comfortable with their weapon systems.
