AT SEA (Sept. 29, 2015) A littoral battlespace sensing-glider (LBS-G) is deployed aboard a Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) T-AGS 60-class vessel. All six T-AGS 60-class vessels are forward-deployed 75-80% of the year, performing ocean forecasts to support fleet operations, protect resources and route ships to their destinations quickly, safely and economically. NAVOCEANO survey detachments consist of an average of 12 civilian and military personnel that conduct 30-120 days of survey operations each year. (U.S. Navy photo/Released)
