BREMERTON, Wa. (Dec. 20, 2016) - Capt. John Ring, commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), gives a tour of the ship to Boy Scout Troop 1498. Nimitz has just returned to port after an underway conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability and Final Evaluation Problem (TSTA/FEP), which evaluates the crew on their performance during training drills and real-world scenarios. Nimitz will begin Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) and Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) in the coming months in preparation for an upcoming 2017 deployment.
