160925-N-PJ969-1983 IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (Sep. 25, 2016) Athletes commandeer an Imperial Beach shower station after completing the Superfrog IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon. Superfrog entry fees are donated to support military and local charities. Founded by retired Lt. (SEAL) Philip "Moki" Martin in 1979, the Superfrog was designed to train Navy SEALs and other military triathletes for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. More than half of the 13.1mile run is over sand to reflect the beach running SEALs do in training. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Abe McNatt)
