Alex (masked last name), a former Russian military operative, shaves inside a community laundromat in the Chinatown District of Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 15, 2016. Alex, lives among many former U.S. military veterans and shares a similar sentiment. As a Russian Afghanistan War veteran, he said that the situations faced by the American Afghanistan War veterans are comparable. Finding it ironic, Alex said that when he fought, the enemy had American weapons, and nowadays, the Americans that fight in Afghanistan are being targeting with old Russian weapons.
