Maj. Gen. Raymond F. Rees, the adjutant general, Oregon, Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski, Geraldine Brown, widow of Capt. John W. Brown, and a soldier from 3rd Battalion, 116th Cavalry, cut the cake at the dedication ceremony of the Capt. John W. Brown Armory, Ontario, Ore., Aug. 11. The newly constructed armory was dedicated to and named after Brown for his extraordinary efforts in the military and his active involvement in his community.
