Col. Frank L. Amodeo, 403rd Wing commander, presided over a promotion ceremony here on May 3, 2014 for Senior Master Sgt. Christopher L. Barnby. More than 400 wing members attended the ceremony. Also in attendance from the Air Force Reserve Command A1K was Chief Master Sgt. Roderick C. Cunningham, and from Team Keesler, Chief Master Sgt. Robert M. Winters, 81st Training Group superintendent, and representing the 81st Mission Support Group superintendent was Chief Master Sgt. Derick S. Stepp, 81st Security Forces Squadron superintendent. All of the Chiefs present for the promotion ceremony joined Chief Master Sgt. Barnby on stage for the reading of the Chiefs' Charge by Chief Master Sgt. Leon E. Alexander, Jr., 908th Maintenance Squadron superintendent, 908th Airlift Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. During Chief Master Sgt. Barnby's career, he has held numerous positions, which include crew chief, aircraft battle damage repair instructor, evaluator and assistant team chief, assistant quality assurance superintendent, aircraft maintenance production superintendent, and first sergeant. Following the promotion ceremony, Col. Amodeo announced Chief Master Sgt. Barnby's current position as the 403rd Wing's new command chief master sergeant. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Master Sgt. Jessica L.
