Pfc. Kenji Kamara, 20, an administrative clerk from Bowie, Md., provides security during a security patrol. Marines with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion learned basic techniques and procedures for providing first aid during a combat life saver course, Aug. 15-17. The final day of the course consisted of three mock security patrols where the squad had a mission to complete and casualties to save. The 1st CEB is currently taking part in Enhanced Mojave Viper, the Marine Corps’ pre-deployment training evolution aimed at preparing Marines for Afghanistan.
