Joseph Curran, an ocean engineer with the Welding, Processing and Nondestructive Evaluation Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, explains how to use the HoloLens to Henry Molintas, a mechanical engineer in Carderock's Propulsor Manufacturing Office. The Microsoft HoloLens is an augmented reality device that allows the user to still see the real world with an overlay of something else, like a schematic. The technology may be useful to the Navy in areas such as training and maintenance. (U.S. Navy photo by Kelley Stirling/Released)
