Pfc. Andrew Fancher, an M1A1 crewman with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Advise and Assist Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, United States Division – Center, and an Iberia, Mo., native, operates an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, Aug. 25, outside of USD – C headquarters, Camp Liberty, Iraq. As a symbolic tribute to the 1st Armored Division, the tank, along with an M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, are set in front of USD – C headquarters in tribute to the history of the 1st Armd Div., “Old Ironsides.”
