On Sept. 29 Staff Sgt. James L. Aultman, 27, chief of training for Combat Logistics Battalion 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Fwd), shakes hands with Capt. Nathan H. Frye, company commander of Headquarters and Service Company, CLB-1. Aultman, a Sylvester, Ga., native, was awarded the Capital One Marine Security Guard of the Year for his efforts during a three year tour with Alpha and Bravo Company, Marine Security Guard Battalion, 4th Marine Expeditionary Force. "The Marines get motivated around him to get inside of his head for information," said Sgt. Maj. David J. Allen, 44, sergeant major of Combat Logistics Battalion 1 and a native of Panama City, Fl. "If I had 10 more Staff Sgt. Aultman's we would be a better unit." Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Fwd) is deployed with I MEF (FWD) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi Reconstruction.
