CHINHAE, South Korea (Jan. 27, 2017) Construction Electrician 3rd Class Bradley Maness, left, Steel Worker 3rd Class Steven Neer, right, and Marines from 9th Marine Engineer Support Battalion work with Marines from the Republic of Korea (ROK) to carry a bottom panel for the Medium Girder Bridge (MGB). NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Western Pacific NMCB ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps, and joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, Calif., NMCB 5 has 12 detachment sites deployed throughout the United States and western Pacific area of operations.
