Capt. "Greyhound" Parker demonstrates the use of a survival signal mirror, used to provide the location of a survivor to passing friendly aircraft on February 15th, 2017 near Arivaca, Arizona. The exercise allows pilots of the A-10 to train in coordinating the location, identification and protection of survivors as well as the escort of rescue helicopters. Capt. Parker is an Active Associate Pilot, a Active Duty Air Force pilot assigned to an Air National Guard unit.
