Elsa Swenson, a veterinarian with the non-governmental organization, World Vets, embarked aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, gives a kitten de-worming medication during a veterinary mission. Iwo Jima is in Guatemala supporting Continuing Promise 2010, a humanitarian and civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation's teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary, and engineering assistance to eight different nations.
