Maj. Gen. Richard Mills, commanding general of Regional Command (Southwest), right, listens as Flight Lieutenant Andy Smith, a member of the Medical Emergency Response Team with the U.K.'s Joint Helicopter Force (Afghanistan), explains the MERT's capabilities during the general's tour of JHF(A)'s flight line here August 7. Mills toured the area to thank aircrew, maintainers and pilots for their hard work. JHF(A), along with U.S. squadrons under the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), provide everything from assault support to cargo delivery for Afghan National Security and NATO forces in Helmand province.
