Todd Rose, Watertown, S.D., of the 196th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Dakota Army National Guard, bears the race number of his unit during the Sioux Falls Half Marathon shadow run on Sept. 12, 2010, at Camp Phoenix in Kabul, Afghanistan. The Sioux Falls based 196th partnered with Sanford Health to participate in the marathon a half a world away while on deployment in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
