All geared up, Marines from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251 depart a Navy CH-53E Super Stallion that transported the Thunderbolts from the USS Enterprise to Masirah, Oman, Aug. 29 on their way to Al Asad, Iraq. The Thunderbolts are home based at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C. VMFA-251 is currently attached to Carrier Air Wing One, Commander Carrier Strike Group Twelve.
