    Combined Joint Task Force - 82 PAO

    Col. T.J. Jamison, the commanding officer for the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, awards Chief Warrant Officer William A. Basel, a native of Marsing, Idaho, with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Sept. 9, for his exemplary courage and skill in aerial flight during Operation Enduring Freedom 2009-2010, in southern Afghanistan. Basel, who serves as a UH-60L Blackhawk helicopter pilot with the 2nd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 82nd CAB, safely executed a speedy and precise night-time landing sequence during a dangerous operation in Zabul province, Afghanistan, Nov. 29, 2009.
