A damaged AMKR vehicle sits awaiting repairs at Production Plant Barstow, Marine Depot Maintenance Command, Feb. 14. Despite the massive engine and all tires but one being blown off and the exterior of the cab mangled by the blast of an improvised explosive device, the up-armored crew capsule of the vehicle did its job and all of the Marines inside survived the ordeal.
